     During the industrial revolution in Europe 18 th century, Mechanical Engineering emerged as field in Engineering world.

      The evolution and development in physics in 19 th century it led also development in mechanical engineering.

       The field has continuously evolved to incorporate advancements; today mechanical engineers are pursuing developments in such areas

as composites, mechatronics, Robotics and nanotechnology.

        Many applications of Mechanical Engineering we can seen in ancient age or society.

 INTERESTING FACT

        James Watt was the first mechnical engineer, He also known as father of mechanical engineering. He invented Watt steam engine, separate condenser, Sun and planet gear.

        

       The wheel, along with the wheel and axle mechanism, was invented in Mesopotamia  during the 5th millennium BC. The lever mechanism first appeared around 5,000 years ago in the Near East, where it was used to move large objects in ancient Egyptian technology.
